The Ayurvedic process is a blend of conversation, observation, and recommendation. It can include dietary recommendations, suggestions for lifestyle adjustments and practices, yoga, pranayama, meditation, color and aromatherapy, Ayurvedic massage, and custom herbal preparations.
Assessing your unique physical and psychological profile via questions and various Ayurvedic diagnostic techniques. This allows us to determine your Constitution (which Ayurveda refers to as Prakruti) and your imbalanced state (called Vikruti). From this, a plan can be devised catered to your unique needs. A typical session lasts about two hours.
Reporting on the findings from your previous visit. Usually occurs one week after your Initial Session. During this visit, we discuss foundational principles of Ayurveda, your unique constitutional makeup, and the implementation of the first step in your program. If a custom herbal formula has been recommended and discussed, this will also be prepared and ready for administration. A typical visit lasts about an hour-and-a-half.
Recommended every one to two weeks for the first few months, and then every three to four weeks as you progress. According to your needs and recommendations, we implement practices concerning diet, lifestyle, and natural therapies for balancing the senses, body and mind. Maintaining a continuing relationship is completely optional, however, it is optimal to plan on six months to a year of support to develop a consistent practice. A typical visit lasts about an hour.
As referenced above, custom herbal preparations are recommended as appropriate, and efficacy is monitored and adjusted according to symptoms, needs, and season. A separate fee applies and is based on your requirements. Fees are always disclosed ahead of time.
